Mustapha Jundi (b. 1976, Tripoli, Lebanon) is an architect and researcher based between Beirut, London, and KSA. He is also a recent MPhil graduate from the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London. His doctoral research investigated borders and the underground, and the conceptualization of the intersection between knowledge gaps and paranoia as a research methodology. In his practice, he considers a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of design, visual culture, and geography. He holds a MArch from Yale University and was a fellow at Ashkal Alwan's Home Workspace Program (2015-16) where he worked with video and text to examine the ruin in personal memory and culture as a spatial apparatus. He was a part-time senior lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Design at the American University of Beirut (2012-2018) where he led several design studios and Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London leading one of the sections for Media Studies. In addition, he co-curated the Arch 50th Anniversary Exhibit at the American University of Beirut in 2018. He was awarded the Highly Recommended Award in the International Property Awards 2015 for his architectural project "Mina 1394" located in Downtown Beirut.
